Vitamin B12

Vitamins, vitamins. Nowadays a Cyanocobalamin deficiencies are epidemic. It's the typical "vitamin of dirt", syntetized only by a bacterium - no animal and no plant can syntetize B12. Since beginning of manhood our source of the Cyanocobalamin was an unclean food. Nowadays we have so called "hygene". Yes, cholera is now only a bad dream from past, most of the parasite disease exists only in the historical books. But everything has a price. We have no source of the Cyanocobalamin now.

Not so long ago injections of the B12 were prescribed en masse "to increase vitality", especially for older patients (a human body simply do not absord the B12 in older age). But what happened? Patient after the B12 injection have not visited a doctor for the next 3 years. Such loss of money... no, it cannot be! So - no more B12 injections. Now we have antibiotics and steroids, they surely can help, but in the long run they destroy our immunologic system. Patient after the antibiotic therapy will visit a doctor every month. And will pay, and pay, and pay...

Humans are herbivores, so our body can store Cyanocobalamin reserves for up to 6 years (just like every other substance that rarely can be found in plants). It means that symptoms of the deficiency will arise slowly. The simpliest way to check if we have one are, of course, tests. But be cautious - common tests detect also non-active analogs of the Cyanocobalamin, so they are pretty useless. So - it's time for a complete blood count - a cheap and effective (it's good idea to make also a peripheral blood smear, it's very helpful in diagnosis of other diseases). MCV cannot pass 94 for men, for women - 99. But even the close result should light a warning signal. MCH - no more than 31, well.. maybe 32. PLT - result below 200 might be symptomatic for the deficiency. If we have all these results, it's pretty possible that we had a small deficiency since years, because the complete blood count does not show the deficiency unless its really bad one. Of course it's always possible that such blood count is a result of another disease, or even is normal, but - you really should try the therapy with B12 injection. It will surely not hurt you, as it's pretty safe - and might be helpful. Just eat a lot of iron and a folic acid for 2 weeks after the injection, then make another blood count - and compare results. If you detect the critical deficiency of B12, remember to check possible causes. It might be one of intestinal diseases, a tapeworm - but also can be a early state of cancer. In case of the cancer, do NOT take the injection.

The B12 is used to create new cells, especially blood. The blood cells need to recreate very often, so in case of the deficiency our natural resistance will be pretty wrecked. This means infections all the time, and following it - sometimes flu-like syndroms. But main syndroms are: Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet. an insomnia, inflamed tongue, lack of balance, digestive problems, tinitus or ringing in the ears - and a lot of others neurological symptoms. Soon one can expect an anemia, which results in cold hands and feet. After that, aching in bones follow. Looks like Lyme, doesn't it?

It's really very, very easy to cure such "disease". No pills, they do not work fast enough. The single injection, or few in row within really hard problems. It's amazingly cheap.

People with proved Lyme should take the injection just "in case", for two reasons. First, it will stimulate the immunologic system, and second - the B12 works really great when it comes to regenerainge damaged nerves.
